Volunteer For Empty Bowls 2026!

The Northwest Food Coalition’s annual fundraising event – Empty Bowls – is looking for volunteers to help make this fundraiser a success! We are looking for volunteers to help with the event Saturday, May 2nd, and Sunday, May 3rd at Howe Arena in Traverse City.  We please ask that volunteers be at least of high school age when signing up to volunteer.

If you are interested in helping fight food insecurity in your area, please fill out the volunteer form. A representative of the Northwest Food Coalition will reach out to you with opportunities and can connect you with area members. You can also contact members directly using the Map to find the member closest to you.


Volunteer to repack food in Food Rescue warehouse

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Northwest Food Coalition. Volunteers are needed year-round at the Food Rescue warehouse on AeroPark Drive. We repack bulk donations of frozen and fresh food into smaller packages that can be delivered to the Coalition’s food pantries and meal sites. Please complete the form on the Goodwill Northern Michigan website, and we will be in touch with more information.
